34.2% of Washington area residents have a four-year college degree or
greater, according to a Scarborough Research survey. That's the highest
percentage among the country's 75 major markets. Next in line is the San
Francisco area with 30.5%

Washington area has
nation's lowest unemployment rate
Washington DC’s labor market continued to sizzle in September, turning in the nation’s best unemployment rate among major metro areas.
The region – which includes Washington DC, suburban Maryland, and Northern Virginia – added 65,600 jobs
in September from the previous year.
Crossing the Pond
18% of
Washington area residents have been to Europe in the past three years, according to a research
survey by Scarborough Research, second only to San Francisco, at 19 percent. The national average is 10 percent.
